Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965 was an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. She is best known for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. After the end of the seventh season, the show was cancelled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), teacher and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English descent. Sedgwick has openly declared her Jewish heritage and said that she is a part of Passover seders.
